Just to flag that it's worth subscribing to ECP for updates. You get spammed (a lot) but it can pay off if you're after discs in particular - I managed to bag a pair of front discs (Zimmerman plain left/right handed) for £340 delivered (plus £11 Quidco cashback) via a flash sale code I just noticed in time, earlier this week.

Correct. Plain (like the originals fitted to mine). Greater friction surface, less likely to crack, no dust build up in the holes, quieter, etc. Arguably more prone to fade, but fine for my driving style.

^Same reasons I use plain disks where possible. No choice on the C6 disks unfortunately.

Bloody good value that.... Kind of makes me wish I needed front discs.....

On the grooved / drilled / plain debate... Grooves are a good thing. They clear dust away from the pad surface which helps the pad wear evenly and can help with the initial bite when you hit the brake.
Drilled I'm not a fan of. Meant to aid cooling but they are prone to cracking. Cons outweigh the pros in my opinion....

Had no issues with my drilled ones. Had grooved on other cars and they are for sure noisier than I would have liked. Only thing I have noticed with mine is they are slightly squeaky when cold or not pressing hard, like in traffic or something.

Thanks for the heads up I've bought a set of fronts. Not in a rush so can happily wait till they come in stock again.
I wasnt too fussed about having plain discs this time as I found my previous drilled discs very prone to warping. Shall see how I get on with these.

NP. Yeah, no rush for me either - mine are likely to sit in my garage for several months until actually needed, but good to keep the C5 store cupboard topped up!

Same here. I bought the solid Genuine Audi set off EBay. Managed to get 15% discount using an eBay code so they were just over £350 delivered
