No, but if I'd known he was there I'd have made an effort to make a detour.

Next time...

I had this in my Allroad, I'll bet it's the trim at the bottom of the windscreen is slightly detached and then any water that runs down the screen on the LHS runs straight into the pollen filter. I scoured a scrapyard and found a Passat pollen filter cover which fits perfectly over the pollen filter and moves any water away from the filter and down the drain holes. If not you could fashion a temporary cover and get a hose on the windscreen to check where the rain is running, I bet it's into the filter. Good luck.

I'm picking up my first RS6 in a couple of weeks so can't introduce myself yet!
I was sorting a water infiltration problem on a friend's Golf 4 this week and I noticed that there is a tray that covers the pollen filter and channels away any water that finds its way under the deflector trim.

I can't believe they didn't put something similar on the RS6. The only thing stopping water from pouring off the windscreen and directly into the cabin via the pollen filter is the pathetic plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen that pushes feebly into the channel that's glued onto the bottom of the windscreen. On the Pilktington screen, this is a very weak connection indeed. In my case it doesn't even push in at all.

Yeah Ben. Totally agree it’s a crap design for a pollen filter.
It really needs a better product.
Even when you want to replace the housing/seal it’s a nightmare due to the almost inaccessible mounting nut at the front.
Managed to change mine while the windscreen was out. Otherwise it’s a real pita.

And who on earth came up with the crap foam seal.
