Seems a shame to have deleted the rear fog lights and then plonking the badge back (at all), in the wrong spot... <beep>.

Close, yet nowhere near Mev ;). From another thread today:

I was head over heels in love with the Bimotos but there were a few possible issues with them that made me decide sod it, get the wallet out and "ged er dun":

From what I have read, the earlier, pre-BBS manufactured Bimotos (Bam specifically mentioned the BBS thing iirc), have all the downsides of being heavy rims, without the upsides of strength, as in the earlier ones are reputed by some to be soft and can bend too easily.

1. They are expensive rims new and especially in their preferred 9.5Jx19 guise, are sold at fairly high prices second hand when in great condition or otherwise!

2. I wanted the Ti finish ones and nobody really seems to part with those.

3. There are a few scruffy ones around 2nd hand but the sellers want unrealistic money for them. Example, I was offered a set for £500 but the seller wanted to charge to take the old farked tyres off, then charge for basic packaging on them and something else. He wanted not far off £600 for a scruffy set. After sending them off to be refurbished, I was looking at around 1K for a 2nd hand set of wheels that might not actually be all that.

After all of that, I just bit the bullet and bought a new set of nice, light, OZ Superturismo LM 9.5x19 rims in Graphite for £1200 and went to hell with it and had Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres slapped on in 275/30/19 form. I blame shopp for me caving on the tyres ;)
These are what are waiting for me :D

Well, I picked up a very heavy babeh on Saturday with a lot of junk in the trunk, the old rims seperated from the tyres and then the tyres and the my (or somebody else's for all I know!) cats. The guys de knobblied her and stuck in the LED sidelights for me at the same time. After a drive back home grimacing every time that I hit a dip in the road due to all the weight, all that was left to do was admire them and go for a proper drive.

These wheels are really wide, sitting practically in line with the arches and you could see brown lines around the edges of the rears where they had made contact with the arch lining when all the weight was in there. We went for a proper drive around on Sunday and the tyres are really impressive, giving the feeling of absolute grip and control, even in this weather. Darling got in and within 60 seconds was driving like a loon, she was really happy with how it all feels. The camber is a bit on the heavy side for me on the front but that can only be lessened with modified parts so I will just see how the tyres wear on the inners and go from there.

Nice.
Rule 1.

As you said; keep an eye on those front inner knuckles, when the alignment goes, the inside rubber goes very quickly.
No matter where you go, there you are.

No pics until she is clean and I can't get an appointment from my valeter currently. I might ask the guys to find out how much the adjustable bits are that will allow me to dial out the camber. Personally I think the wheels are going to be a bit marmite for you guys on this black car, I know they are for me as I can't make my mind up whether I like them really or not.
