TCU mapped and all ok until 80k. now running big torque and box does not like it. 89k. but still going well if handled with care!
6. skyegtb - New box at 25,000 miles was running MTM 535 then, not sure of failure (previous owner). Now 52,000 miles and been MTM 568'd at same time as box replaced. G/Box service at 40,000 miles, all good, no issues so far, smooth as silk.

it would be interesting to know for how long other users have had the TC error and yet kept on driving it, i've had it since i bought the car(110k km) and i have been driving it for the last 20k km like this, probably the error showed up much earlier but Audi never said a thing about it, i told them about it when they showed me some scans they did and they acted like it was something normal and then they told me that they erased it... :audibash: , i have a new TC as a replacement and will change it in the winter, if the box lasts, but to be honest ever since i bought it i didn't notice any worsening of the way it works, all i can feel is a bit of slipping which is the same as the first day i bought it and no debris out of normal was found when i serviced the box...

I think it is more appropriate to put 29 and 30 in "Failed/Failing" rather than "Never failed".

Any objections?

TCU mapped and all ok until 80k. now running big torque and box does not like it. 89k. but still going well if handled with care!
6. skyegtb - New box at 25,000 miles was running MTM 535 then, not sure of failure (previous owner). Now 52,000 miles and been MTM 568'd at same time as box replaced. G/Box service at 40,000 miles, all good, no issues so far, smooth as silk.

Can some IT geek knock up some software where this data can be inputted and then viewed and read more easily?

How much easier do you need it? It's 26 to 29. If it helps that's 52.7% that never failed. ;)

But how many of them 52.7 % were tuned/serviced? I need more breakdowns of variables and want to do less working out. Plus, with this new data input thing, nobody can take the thread off topic. I'm not saying this isn't a good resource, it is. I'll stop filling it with junk now.

There just isn't enough data for anything other than an empirical, seat-of-pants thing. My personal opinion is that driver sympathy has a lot more to do with longevity than anyone can realistically quantify.

Also, people need to stop thinking that a slush box will go on for ever. It's got wear parts in it. It WILL fail at some point. All slush boxes do.
