They said if that doesn’t show any improvement they’d be looking at replacing the valve block (?) at a cost of £1,820.
Thoughts so far?

i did toy with the idea of driving it down but it was next week before logistically i could do that. Never considered a pick up unfortunatelychunky79 wrote:Have you rang Grizz to see if he can pick it up and do it at his place?
So are you saying they could change the valve block, put the whole lot back together and I could still have the same problem? They seemed pretty certain it was one solenoid controlling 2nd gear (?? what do I know ??)Shoppinit wrote:Hopefully I'm wrong. But if you're not paying, I'd be pushing for a new box, complete.
Warranty company haven't yet come back, but the valve block is specifically covered in the policy document. I've had zero success in the past (two separate occasions) getting them to shell out for anything other than the parts recommended by Audi - even though on one occasion (DRC) it ended up costing them more when they had to replace again. I will ask though...Shoppinit wrote:Hopefully I'm wrong. But if you're not paying, I'd be pushing for a new box, complete.

I thought i had read on here that if prnds all flash up then the torque converter code came up aswell?bilko1 wrote:Surely if it was the torque converter Audi would have got the P0741-17125 code aswell as the one they got and would be rubbing there hands together at the thought of over 20 hours labour charge.
