Engine all reassembled, fully reinstalled, pressure tested cooling system & running up to temp to top up ATF and check all is well.....

All isn't well; looks like a coolant pipe has pinholed at the back of the engine and misting out under full temp conditions, looks like the inlet fanimold has got to be removed again.....

And I was really looking forward to burning a tank or two of V Bastard tomorrow :boohoo:

Just a quick one people.....any of you guys (& gals Panda) running uprated injectors?

The hybrids are pushing a pretty constant 25 psi  but obviously the map atm isn't providing anywhere near the amount of fuel required for such boost, hence it's running quite lean.

My mapping man is currently reducing the boost while increasing fueling to more piston & valve friendly levels via the ecu rather than the ballache involved with re-springing the actuators (the adjustable actuator rods haven't made a great deal of difference so it could mean stronger springs) but it may be that with the other mods such as dp's etc the standard injectors may not be able to flow enough.

So, any recommendations on uprated injectors if needed?

Cheers all

But I am rather busy at the mo.....care to guess why ;)

She'll be buring V-bastard, at a guess.

The injectors should be fine but you'll need a better pump and reg.
No matter where you go, there you are.

You need to get a data logger on the ECU and check your injector duty cycle at the top end of the rev range, plotted against boost and AFR. The standard injectors are quite small.

How far do you want to push the turbos & do you have a flow chart for them? At the moment, I'd start by seeing what my injector %DC was when I had the right AFR at peak revs, the size from there.

Cheers fella, tbh a wee bit technical for me but I can certainly pass on the advice should we have problems, it'd be good to know if a) anyone else has gone to higher flowing injectors, b) what boost you're running and c) where they're sourced from.

I'm hoping I'll get sufficient fueling through the originals to run as close to 20 psi as poss, it's good to know that the turbos are good for 25 psi straight out of the box.

Just off topic and purely as an observation........your new avatar is fookin scary/ugly/disturbing :nodder:

Thanks, it's a self portrait :biggrin2:

Some tuners will turn up the fuel pressure and change the fuel pump for north of 520bhp
