It wasnt my brightest decision! :bash:

It was either them or custom code, but when I asked them what bhp gain I'd be getting on the chip, he had no idea, just told me it would be faster!

At the dyno day I last attended, a C5 RS6 went on the dyno and made 510 PS with an AMD remap, it was then changed to an MRC map and made 524 PS, which was also much superior and smoother throughout the rev range. I've looked into all types of remaps the past few days and have decided on MRC as I genuinely think they are the best out there, along with Viper. I've heard Revo remaps mess up timing, fuelling and wear the engine whereas the MRC ones don't. Get rid of the Revo one and swapped for MRC or Viper, Swanny. The MTM is probably a safe bet too but not worth what they charge for it IMO.

My plus is totally standard at the moment Amar, although like you, I do feel there map is one of the best out there.

Just to be clear - all our rs6 c5 maps get the gearbox chip.
The stage 1+ is the stage1 engine with the stage2 gearbox map with the shiftpoints changed and 5th gear at 30mph tweak.
Cars with full exhausts and intake get a custom gearbox map so the car can rev higher - and that depends on how the car performs on the dyno on high the revs are. You can have even quicker changes but it smacks into gear hard.

What is the point of 30 mph in 5th ? If it's fuel economy i didn't but an RS6 for that although i see the chancellor is getting his KY out for the motorist again :bash: also won't 30mph in 5th put more strain on the torque converter / gearbox.

Bilko - I don't think anyone bought these cars for economy, but it gives greater flexibility. If the RS 6 were manual and I were crushing at 30-38 MPH, I'd have it in fifth, the stock TCU won't allow this. The better fuel economy is a nice bonus to this added flexibility, but I don't think anyone would have their car mapped for better fuel economy, although you could tell the misuses that.

So how much is a stage 2 remap with gearbox chip going to cost me ? I have full decat non res Milltek, ITG filters, Forge diverter valves, and MRC recon intercoolers. There seems to be differences in prices quoted and advertised.

Stage 2 is £750 inc vat, including health check, including dyno time, and a stage2 gearbox remap. That "other" page is an old one that i need to edit.

Was just doing a google to find a picture of that Audi c5 with the rs5 Titan wheels on it ...yes probably going to do this very soon... Anyway I happend to stumble on across - the fact that it said rs6 clubsport caught my attention
http://audi-rs.purzuit.com/video/H9Wf4K7a0kI.html.

Worth the Watch the vid shows this clubsport rs6 bearing a manual gear box.
My german isn't that great - and not so sure about the bonnet vents - but I guess he's <beep> dancing purely reflects the fact hes finally found a way of taming that horse power without breaking the transmission - given the snow and all! Or it could be that he had a very lucky escape from trashing the rear end !
