If you zoom in on the photo. The part no is on the box.
077 121 599A.
There was some confusion at the time with the last letter. But I was assured that is the correct pump.
Bought from Audi Tradition IIRC. Someone on here fitted this pump and recommended it. So I bought one for when and if I need it.

If Craig and Paul have fitted the Autodoc ones. That would be a good enough recommendation for me.

Just came across the above info from a Topman post in “new owner seeks some advice thread”

Seems to confirm what I bought.
Thank you Steve. Nice to know I've got options on where to source.
TBH, my original probably hasn't been functional for years, so I doubt they're essential for our weather in the UK... but, while we're in there, may as well.

You don't want that one that Steve bought years previously. When this was available from Audi Main Dealers, you could only buy the pump with the bracket which made it very expensive when you only want the Pierburg pump. I believe that you wont this part number 077121599A from any of the normal parts suppliers. The only place you can buy it is from Audi Tradition (I can help you here if you need as I have an account) it costs approximately £300. But it's much cheaper to buy just the pump without the bracket from AutoDoc for approx £83 :-)

I have used this pump for almost a year now and no problems (as it's the same).

Don't be fooled into thinking this pump is not needed, its essential to the longevity of your turbos. I attach a page from the self-study guide for our cars so that you can learn how it work, it's quite clever. Mine wasn't working and I think this is the main reason why my turbos cooked (an expensive and time consuming job to replace).

Have a nice weekend - and don't trust AutoDoc to tell you what actually will work with your RS6 - we have the knowledge :audibash:

Craig Barlow

Thanks for clarifying Craig, you chaps are a font of knowledge :notworthy:
Seems that AD have no stock now. Damn, they were showing yesterday but stating not suitable for the BCY...should have just nabbed one with my other stuff.
I'll keep looking.

Yeah. It doesn't help that the different suffix letter doesn't necessarily indicate a superseded version of the same part. It could be a completely different part.
