Re: Breakdown
Car used to start as soon as you turned the key first time every time.
Now takes two to three attempts before she fires up. Seems worse from cold start.
Once she has fired up she drives like normal.
However just pleased that the car is useable again.

Re: Breakdown
Might be a small air leak in the fuel lines causing the pump to take time to build up to pressure. It’s been messed with a fair amount recently.
Try turning the key to position II for a few seconds then off. Do that a couple of time before starting.
Or maybe you’ve got a fuel pressure regulator problem. That could have hastened the demise of the fuel pump(s).

Check to see what your coolant temp sender is reading before starting.

I reckon this is the problem Ben. Once it’s started it’s ok. If I immediately start it after switching off it’s still ok. However if I leave it for a while then it’s back to two or three attempts to get it to fire up.
I have a fuel pressure regulator on order from Autodoc. Should get it this week.

Re: Breakdown
Been to the shops for a Chinese takeaway. Parked up in the car park.
On return I couldn’t help but admire the car on her stunning looks. It doesn’t matter what angle you view the car from, they just stand out from the norm.
That may be helped by the fact that I had the car cleaned and waxed this morning.
Even after 12 years of ownership I am still a very proud owner of one of these amazing cars.
