Please can someone tell me what spec codes Audi list in the handbook for the oil on an RS6?

Thanks

while audi specifies that any oil which meets or exceeds vw 502 00 will fit all their cars - the rs6 is a special case, and a special technical bulletin was issued to cover it.

in the case of the rs6, only oil which conforms to vw 505 01 with viscosity of 5w40 will do. audi warn that failure to adhere to this can result in engine failure.

I have run Motul 5W40, Castrol Edge 10W60 and currently run 5W30. Motul was the best but as i change it every 5000kms it cost very costly

This car shows up on Audi system as being on longlife servicing,is longlife not reccomended for this engine at all? as the 505.01 is fixed servicing oil.

The RS6 is not eligible for AVS.

the rs6 is an exception, and is on fixed intervals...

just to re-state only 5w40 is recommended by audi. in the strongest possible terms....

I use MILLERS 10W60 , This will give a much higher level of protection when the oil is hot..

it is interesting that audi specify a lower viscosity synthetic oil - i would have assumed high temps was more of an issue - not audi.
