True about the residual value but have noticed all the S and RS range are holding good prices throughout the years from the B5 onward

TBH any car that puts a huge grin on my face is worth every penny I spend on it. Also the running costs aren't that too dissimilar to other high performance motors, SWMBO constantly reminded me that my Mitsubishi Evo, Cosworth's etc costed a fortune every service, any repairs that were required and simple wear/tear maintenance was huge compared to her brand new VW Sharan running costs, I wasn't surprised by any of bills

Excited for you mate. (high) Running costs are part of owning a 400bhp V8.

Unless he does pick the S5, then it will be all the way to 7,000 wishing he had another 1,250rpm still to go.
