Plug it in, select the turbo module and increase the angle of the compressor wheel blades from 23deg (default) to 45deg - this will release an additional 35bhp

Only kidding !

Try carrying out a TBA -

Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Measuring Blocks - 08]
Enter Group 060 [Go!]
[Switch to basic settings]

Enjoy !

Apart from TBA, it's main use is to check for DTCs.

You can also do some reprogramming of the central locking.

After that you can do more diagnostics by logging key values such as boost, MAF, torque etc.

My favourite is logging block 115 on the engine. This gives you the turbo boost details. Other good ones are 121 (IIRC) which will give you torque. From this you can import the data into a spreado and see what kind of power you are making

Yes. Everything you see on the instrument cluster is avaialble - plus a whole load more. Best thing to do is plug it in and take a browse. I have never found it documented anywhere what is available - you just have to cycle through each block. If you see some that are empty as you run through, don't assume that is the end as I did to start with. Just keep going (upto 255, IIRC)

remember chaps, for those that are remapped, that there is a restriction on measuring boost above 1.5 bar - ecu/boost sender unit restriction apparently.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

that will be the MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor that doesnt go above 1.5 bar then.

David,

select the Instrument Cluster and chose the 'measuring blocks' option. The select group 050. You should see two temperature readings (the last two columns). The first is Oil Temperature, the second is coolant temperature.

Have fun...

Na that's not right. You can measure your boost no prob. Well I did on my AMD chipped S4.
