The Comfort and Sound pack forces you to have the "advanced key" which I think is a bummer. Cars with the advanced key are sooooo easy to nick (keyless entry systems).

ZF8 appears to be a revolution in torque converter autos. Its now OK to fit one to a performance car. It is in the Alfa Gulia Quad and the new M5, and will be in the new M3.

All the reviews have always been positive, ALL. It's obviously a very good box.
ZF8 will possibly be a fraction of a second slower on Nurburgring but much better in road traffic and everyday use.
It has its place at a price point. Mac, Fezza, Pork, Lambo etc etc is all dual clutch as it is the performance option.

Nice Graeme, not going ramics this time?
No, not this time
They're a nice to have rather than a need to have, and although the driving benefits are pretty big with the reduction of unsprung weight, they're also a very expensive ticking time bomb if you damage one (£6,400 for the front discs alone)
I went a bit silly on the spec of my current B8 as I was feeling flush at the time, and the reality is, I barely use half the stuff I spec'd, so I'm going a bit more realistic this time.
For example, I don't think I opened the Panoramic roof once last year, but still had to pay to have it serviced, and I never use the lane assist other than the novelty when I first got the car in 2014 to show my kids it could steer for itself :)
Having just had to have the DRC changed in my car, I don't think I'll bother with that either as I've only ever used the dynamic setting once, and it was too stiff for even the smoothest surface. You'd have hoped that after all the issues with the B7, Audi would've fixed or ditched the system for the B8, but mine's been in twice for damper replacements now. Luckily, it's been covered by the warranty both times
I've not driven a B9 without the dynamic suspension, but did drive a B8 without it and it rode just as well as the Dynamic car in its comfort setting, which is what I drive around in anyway
Be careful. My research suggest the standard suspension is firmer than B8 which is quite supple. . Autocar talk about low speed jiggle - among others.

Can you code out the Advanced Key? I'm in the same predicament. Absolutely no interest in having Advanced Key.

Sorry.

You could always sell me your ceramics and then it'd be, a no cost option.
