To be fair to the dealer I put all my fleet business through them and I've just had a massive issue with my RS6 and told them I wouldn't do any business with them again so they are trying to keep me as a customer. Is 7% good as I didn't think it was a particularly strong discount?
Its not bad on a halo model that is going to be in demand with a waiting list and zero support from Audi!

£1200 for sport exhaust.... f*ck me, £1200 for them to give you less exhaust by replacing a centre box with straight pipes
Which was included in the old one within sports pck for £2,250 which included 20s, DRC and dynamic steering
Currently :
Porsche 992S
Porsche Cayenne GTS
Porsche GT4 RS
Lotus Exige V6 ( tuned to c430bhp)
Seat Ibiza excellence Lux!

1967 Jaaag Mk2 3.4

Ex
2017 AMG E class wagon
2012 Audi RS4 (B8)

with OTR prices starting at £61,625.
So pretty much the same price as the base RS5. I think we can take it as read that the options pricing will be the same on the 4 as they are the 5. So...

£2k for DRC, £2k for wheels, £1200 for sports exhaust, £650 for paint, £1000 for a styling pack, £1200 for comfort and sound pack etc etc. Making it a £70k+ car all day long, if you want a decent spec.
As per my earlier post, this was not the case with the equivalent B8s
Apart from the 'sports package' on the B8 RS4, there were all other packages at launch on the B8 RS5. From the B8 RS5 launch brochure:

WBI Comfort package. Cruise control and mobile telephone preparation – Bluetooth interface n £246.80 £290.00
WB3 Sound package. Bang & Olufsen sound system and DAB digital radio n £425.53 £500.00
WB4 Technology package – Low. Satellite Navigation system – DVD-based with Audi Music Interface and cruise control n £1,272.34 £1,495.00

On the B8 RS4 the sports package was £2250, but priced individually the items included cost £890(Sports Exhaust) £1710 (DRC) £375 (dynamic steering) £1350(20" wheels), so in reality the package saving was only £2075 (circa 50%). On the B9 platforms they have made the individual options much much more expensive, so any package cost I would expect to be increased in cost to compensate. I suspect a sports package of some sort would only save c£2-3k, which would still sadly make the B9 RS4 a c£70k+ car.

Where is the saloon. I'll stick to my B7 thanks. I may just spend £80k on it to spank the B9, oh yes I already spent a a sh1t load and would love a race with a B9 RS4. The first member on here to get one let's go for it ?

I wouldn't if I were you, Torque talks, and the 2.9 is a bit of a weapon...

How a 5 looks with the common options ticked. Even if they do a 'sports package' for the 4, it's still going to be early 70's for a decent spec...

Audi's DFS pricing means they may chuck a bit of discount at it, but the GFV's will still be circa 50% loss after 3 years, at least.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come as it does not bode well for the RS6, if this is the best Audi can come up with for the RS4.

But on the rolling start it didn't do so well.

Those Merc engines are very powerful Mike, don't know why Audi have gone down this downsize route for the RS

I'd have to wait to see it in the flesh and then hear it and drive it too, but the lack of a saloon model (again) could push me to the Alfa instead (assuming I got bored of the RS6). Maybe we'll see a saloon at face-lift like we did with the RS3.

I assumed it was for emissions but the Merc still runs a V8 doesn't it?

Yep, but there was a time when nothing from AMG or M could live with the power of the RS. I think those days are now long gone.

Agree, but I wouldn't put that down to the engine only. He said everything I feared in the rolling start "this gearbox takes ages to kick down!". A double clutch box would have had it down and away. Audi's cost cutting, will cost them in sales IMO.

Well it's the gearbox which limits the RS4 B7 to 193mph on the clock as the charged boys know.
And yes I have done 207mph in my C63 AMG. Have you or GTFO ? :drink:
