I use them on my B5 S4, obviously losing the wear sensors. They're pretty good, but I'm still on stock calipers so the pads weren't the real weak point. They did squeal a bit for the first few hundred miles, but after that they were just like any other pad with a bit more bite.

you can get them for the RS6 (B7 RS4), I have a set here, they have wear sensors on them.
pad difference front and back shouldn't be a major issue, may just seem to affect your bias as the front bite harder than the rears are expecting

Sorry but In My Humble Opinion EBC are <beep>. Feeling less, soft, fading, poor.
You get what you pay for.
Get Pagid. Sorry don't mean to be negative.

I've heard that it is bad to mix different brands + types of pad front + rear. Especially in the case of a harder/higher temperature compound on the front and softer on the back. It can cause imbalance when cold braking if the fronts are not up to temperature, so the rear of the car will become unstable. For the relatively small price involved, I'd get the yellows or reds all round, not a mix.

Got to agree don't last either. Pagid or DS2500 can't go wrong and never fade especially the Ferodo's. They can warp discs though!!
