also according to the print-out, my corrected power was 402.8 bhp with wheel power quoted as being 246.3 bhp.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

That is good - what does it get upto on the road in a low rpm to redline in 4th ? I don't have any experience of RS4s - thanks

156bhp losses :shock: Are you happy with that? what have you had done?

depending on the outside temp, mine is about 30C when doing WOT runs in 4th gear.

what i meant was, thats a lot of power to lose? i lost 130bhp thats with 325@wheels.

ok the data on my RR print-out from QST is as follows:

Corrected Power: 402.8 bhp (correction acc. to DIN 70020)
Engine Power: 413.7 bhp
wheel power: 246.3 bhp
drag power: 167 bhp
Max power at: 6820 rpm

actually I've just looked at some old datalogs and the last proper run i did with block 118 saw a max intake temp of 45C at 7000 revs in September.

Cheers for the info - there definitely looks like a difference between the companies - I wouldn't mind knowing what losses other cars got?

I would have thought that S2s and RS4s would have similar losses - maybe the RS4 a bit more as they have fatter tyres (although I don't know if the difference would be a 1% or 10%)

SitaS3 - is that just a remap you have?

Doug, no remap - mine is a stock car apart from a catback exhaust.

Ben, can you post your figures from the RR print-out sheet section same as mine above? your car was the nearest RS4 to mine and your power output was pretty much as expected.

Unless you spend zillions you're not going to get real world. It's about as good as can get and I'm sure it wasn't cheap to get this far.

On the road, Dougs and mine were getting to about 25 degs, maybe 30 max. On the rollers were say on Dougs over 58 degs. This made the car go into its knock limit and hence it lost power. Same with mine, but we are unsure how hot mine was getting.

Drag Power 225
Max Power at 6960RPM
Torque 531.3

Intake temp 9.6C
Ambient temp 9.4C

I think we'd best be ignoring losses as 2 identical cars (on same sized tyres, suspension etc etc) cannot differ that much.
