Water Leak

Post by beastman » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:12 pm

Just noticed a steady drip of coolant (thought had smelt like running hot but temp was always 90) underneath on passenger side directly under A pillar and about a foot in from tyre. Expansion tank is down to minimum so have topped up.

Any ideas what is likely to be leaking no steam rising from anywhere, yet, just the drip. Getting clutch done in fortnight but if gonna be pricey fix would delay that.

Thanks

Try a new cap before you do anything else.

was as thought apparently cracks fairly easily due to heat from engine but coolant dries and seals it up, mine at 130k was well knackered!
