Exhaust and remap (~420bhp) should get you close.

I'm running 415bhp in my S4 and calculated about 4 seconds 0-60 at Santa Pod last year (using 1/8th mile times/speeds).

I found an MTM chip very torquey, rather than top end rush.

well worth having exhaust and remap give you plenty of torque

actually I suspect my car is MTM chipped by previous owner. How can I tell if its chipped or not? I got the VAG cable and full software. Or do I need to look at the ECU itself? (located on the firewall near the air box?)

MTM is a chip not a remap. Concealed in a box of tricks, wouldn't know it from any other bit of electronic wizzardry.

It all depends on what you call chip and what you call remap :) To me MTM is a remap.

It is my belief that it is a piece of plastic with some metal/silicon bits on it that has to be attached to the car, as opposed to someone changing the software and not physically altering anything.

Don't ask me I'm just the customer you're the man who does it. (Albeit QST in my case).

Paul, MTM uses encryption sockets for their software, but they are still and regardless doing OEM software modifications, which is exactly what a remap is ;) You probably mean piggyback controller by "chip", which has become common use for the term since the advent of diesel plugin boxes...
