They were not optional as such, they are Quattro GMBH
YTH Perforated brake discs, 1100.00
front/rear wheels
YTI Perforated brake discs, front wheels 580.00
YTJ Perforated brake discs, rear wheels 520.00

Ok, so I can just go to any AUDI Distributor and just ask for:
YTI Perforated brake discs, front wheels 580.00
YTJ Perforated brake discs, rear wheels 520.00

Thanks

You need to inform them that they are Quattro GMBH parts and normal Audi parts, most dealers will only understand VAG part numbers

Zeke
best bet is to buy them from a retailer in Germany
Audi Zentrum
Am Main
Frankfurt
Herr Wintermeier
they know about them

Yes, no problem. They will wear out quicker because they keep getting a layer skimmed off them, but your disks will last longer. You must certainly NOT use the Pagid yellows that are supplied with them.

I use, on JR's recommendation, pagid orange fronts and blue rears.

I am just going through with front brake upgrade, using RS6 cross drilled discs for my RS4, which are strangely about the same price as RS4 standard solid discs!
They can be bought off the shelf from an Audi dealer as they are an option for the RS6, and fitted to the 6+ as standard kit.
They are being fitted with Brembo 6 pot GT3 callipers.
I will post a more detailed description following the work, regarding any alterations that may be neded to make the rotors fit the RS4. When I was looking for the drilled GMBH RS4 discs, I had resolved that going direct to GMBH was probably the most direct solution, following advice from VAG parts.

From what I've heard, GmbH are an impossible company to contact/deal with, thius is why Audi IK won't get the GmbH discs in. Unfortunately the guy at AMD lost his supplier for GmbH about a month ago and is trying to find a new one at the moment. If anyone else has managed to find a supplier please do tell as I need to put on a new set of rear discs and wanted to go the GmbH route!
