Very Hard Brake Pedal

Post by simoncotton » Fri Sep 05, 2008 5:58 pm

I have been out today in the pouring rain, loads of standing water / floods.

I noticed that the brake pedal went really hard, very little travel whatsoever, almost as if the pedal hard been pumped really hard.

Has anyone else experienced this? Made me very nervous.

Running Movit Brakes and discs all round.

i have seen a few brake servos full of water due to blocked phelnum chamber drains (where the battery is fitted) if its full of water clear the drains then pull off the servo vac hose and syphon the water from the servo :audibash:

It's just the ESP, the car applies the brakes when needed, especially in the wet, and if you happen to hit the pedal whilst it is doing that you will feel it is rock hard, - a bit off putting at times!

Nothing to worry about this is completely normal :-)
