Re: Numerous RS4 Issues & Faul Codes - Help!

Thanks very much for your responses - I forgot to mention the car has been decoked in the last year and also deflapped - I suspect this could be the cause of the issue? hi mate got your pm. the only way the decoke and deflapping could cause this is if when removing and refitting the manifold they h...

Re: Numerous RS4 Issues & Faul Codes - Help!

Dear all, I bought a lovely B7 RS4 a couple of months back and it's been a wonderful car - I get the hype! Anyway, I've come across quite a number of issues I wondered if you guys could help me with, nothing serious just need to make sure that whoever I choose to carry out the work is doing the rig...

Re: Papaya RS4

I was speaking to Clive at Motocraft yesterday and I mentioned him not wanting to paint your car. He said he would have done it for £5-6k but didn’t think it need it and was offering professional advice not to do it. With regard to how your painters working. Said paint should stick but it’s not the...

Re: Papaya RS4

i dont want to be negative here but i have to agree with some of the other posters about your painters technique/working practices, they are not what you would expect from a "professional" paint shop. if you have paid decent money for this job i would be very concerned. i hope it works out for you a...

Re: How can choose the bearing shell No. (color)?

unfortunately its not straight forward as the different colours indicate the different sizes, you will need to accurately measure your crank to determine which colour combos you need to use. have a read of this thread http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2624.0 maybe try to pm 65vetteC6 o...

Just filled up at Shell, and all back to normal 8k limit. looks like the engine limits the revs once the fuel light come on. :beerchug:
errr no it doesn't.
if the revs were limited to 6500 it was doing it for a reason, get it scanned with vcds it will have logged the issue.

Re: X PIPE

Even more reason to stick with straight pipes. I really can't see there being any notocable difference for the more complex x pipe arrangement. Audi decided to keep the pipes separate in the centre resonator so that is good enough for me. while i agree expecting random exhaust shop A to throw in a ...

Re: X PIPE

X-pipe will be better ;) but if you insist on straight pipes, it won't do any damage/unbalance anything. As Mike said, they are straigh from factory and many owner run them. As for the noises you are hearing, check rear diff mount, gearbox mount and engine mounts.. Yes as you say Mike knows his stu...
