Re: Rs6 and the ring?

Legend! Unfortunately I can’t get mine to the local petrol station and back at the moment so a trip to the ring isn’t looking likely in the rs6

Re: That time of year again... Failed for the 2nd year Iv'e had it !

It is possible too get the cats out without dropping the engine , but it does still involve dropping the back end of the sub frame down and a really long extension bar . Mine is soon too have no cats at all , so I wont have to worry . I work at a place that does mot's now  I was quoted for ...

You HAVE changed the remote battery for a new (known) good one ?
I have indeed fitted a brand new energiser battery, double checking the polarity is correct and retrying the syncing process, all to no avail.

Re: Key fob problems again

I’ll ask about my friends for a vagcom and also get one of the cheap clones to see if that presents any solution. Which fuse specifically should I be checking?

I’m hoping to fight my corner with Audi and get it done under warranty from previous job or minimum so form of good will contribution.

Re: Key fob problems again

Tried that doesn’t sync it either...

Going to get it booked back in at Audi, they’ve already advised it could be another key but I don’t think the chap on the phone was a tech so he didn’t understand the situation well.

Re: Key fob problems again

If I use the diagnostic computer to activate ‘crash signal test’ it throws all the locks and the doors are now unlocked. With the ignition on the interior central locking buttons now work as they should. Once you lock the car with the key in the drivers door and unlock it again only the drivers door...

Re: Key fob problems again

Haha I could but you can’t shift a good one let alone one where the entire bloody family has to climb through the drivers door!

Re: Key fob problems again

Ps the first mechanical error description relates to the active door faults and the circuit cut 955 relates to key remote control problem.

Re: Key fob problems again

I’m becoming very short tempered with this hunk of junk now, unfortunately despite what all the fan boys may suggest on here this is not a well built car. It’s almost as if every ounce of its dna was built from the ground up to bleed anyone stupid enough to own one of every single penny. I refuse to...

Re: No power on way home huge flat spots

Mine definitely hums for the first few seconds every time ignition is turned on. Could be your problem?

Re: Key fob problems again

It was 14 months ago work carried out.

Strange that even by gaining access with the key and ignition on the central locking buttons in the car don’t work either? I’ve got no possible way of unlocking anything but the drivers door.

Re: Key fob problems again

I don’t have any vagcom so can’t do that. I don’t understand it was working perfect before the flat battery has it been wiped from memory or something???

Any chance claiming warranty on the work from Audi?

Key fob problems again

Seems to be Achilles heel of my particular car but I once again have key fob problems. When I purchased the car neither key would operate the central locking, eventually I had a new key purchased and programmed from Audi. Now my car has been sat in the garage for 6 months with a completely flat batt...
