Re: Tailgate leak

I had this on a b7 a4 avant, it turned out to be the rear screen washer hose. There is a joint in the hose near the hinge and this had come apart allowing all of the washer fluid to pour straight into the bottom of the tailgate.

Re: alloy bufkin pipe

Mines going to qst in Hayward’s Heath for the bufkin pipe to be replaced, when the parts arrive ( on back order obviously). Kim Collins at qst says they will be doing it with the engine in.

The 4 spoke option is awesome. Feel sorry for the 3 spokers.
Like wise, the four spoke one has buttons on it and everything, much more in line with modern cars.
Must be awful being a three spoker

Re: Radiator

Had my radiator replaced a couple of months ago, £1000 just for the rad. All pipes came off ok, I think the entire bill was £1300.

I fixed mine with cable ties about 3 years ago, it takes about 10 minutes to do and work very well.

Re: coolant radiator, part number ending in F

Its not a budget issue its a being ripped off by Audi that gets me. I don't mind paying for something if it's worth the money or even slightly over the odds if its a bespoke part or whatever, but more than five times the price of a similar item is just taking the pi--. Anyway, as things stand the ca...

Re: coolant radiator, part number ending in F

Yeah, a few have said they could custom build one for less but they would need mine, plus the time it would take to make one up . My car is my daily so i need it back on the road asap. If i could do without it for a while i'd go down that rout Another advantage of having one fabricated is that it wo...

Re: coolant radiator, part number ending in F

Drawing a bit of a blank on this one, all places i have phoned regarding a rebuild don"t have the core, there is no correct pattern part, so it looks like I'm going to have to take it from audi with them wearing a barbed wire condom and cackling like the bloke from raiders of the lost arc...

coolant radiator, part number ending in F

It"s time for a new radiator and i have the one with the part number ending in F, which means £900 plus vat. This must be the famous german sense of humour. The f radiator has the extra little pipe at the bottom, does anyone know what it"s for, i think its part of the additional coolant circuit. Can...

Mines still on original arc, seems ok no leaks etc. If, or rather when it breaks, i'll repair and keep it original.

Re: New badges

Somebody, with rather poor driving skills, shunted a car behind me into the back of me in june last year, resulting in me having to have a new rear bumper, number plate surround, parking sensors, metal trim strip, repair to the boot lid and new badges. So they are still available and come on a stick...
