Re: What is this?
Yeah, could be. I will need to try and trace the wiring back to source. I chucked out an old tracker/battery back up/wiring that was sitting in the nearside boot well but it wasn't connected to this. Not to say there isn't another one lurking about somewhere. Don't like having unnecessary/redundant ...

What is this?
De-cluttering the old girl (car not wife.... although but not a bad idea) and junking the outdated DVD player/headrest screens, etc. Following some wiring that initially looked OEM as it is sheathed in the fabric style loom wrap, found this stuck to the inside of the back bumper, nearside. Any idea ...

Re: Anyone spot the problem?
Cheers Shopp,
I haven't returned to standard yet, Rich has gone very quiet on me despite a few emails and i thought i would see if anyone had any divine inspiration before finding someone else to return the maps to standard.
Boost pressure sensor is at the front of the inlet manifold?

Re: Anyone spot the problem?
Really sorry to resurrect this old post, but now in lockdown and its an opportunity to bring the old girl out of a 2 year hibernation and attend to this issue. Either that or start cutting the grass with a pair of nail scissors to kill some time! If anyone has the time and patience to read through t...

Re: Checking for TCU remap
It's under the carpet in the drivers side footwell in front of the seat.
Its inside a black plastic box.
10-15 minute job to get it out.

Checking for TCU remap
Is there anyway of checking if a TCU has been remapped and who's map it is? I bought a spare TCU and it has been opened up before and the soldering on the TCU chip doesn't look OEM. Anyone know what the numbers or markings are on a standard chip? I have attached a pic of mine which may give someone ...

Normal operating temperature
What is the normal operating water temp on our cars?
I'm talking proper measured temp from VCDS, not gauge readings.
And what temp should fans cut in and go off?

Re: Anyone got a spare TCU?
OK, my latest effort to solve my problem came to nowt.
Still on the lookout for a spare TCU or someone who is willing to do a quick trial swap.
Willing to travel a reasonable distance.
Anybody?

Re: Anyone got a spare TCU?
It's lovely up here, well worth the trip. You could make a week of it and do the NC500!
If nothing else materialises,I will be at Oulton Park beginning of September and could bring the car down with me if anyone is in that neck of the woods.
