For another take on this, I operate on miles per full tank, as I fill up from near empty and measure the miles until next fill.
I typically get between 230-280 miles out of a full tank (i.e. per circa £95).
Mixed driving i.e. motorway and city, and normal and (the fun stuff).

I've had two engine out jobs done under warranty (oil pump leak, where I also had them change my corroded coolant pipes (I just covered the cost of the parts myself) and lambda sensors), split over two warranty periods, each (Audi charged) bill exceeding £4K. Will I be able to get an accurate reading of engine oil temperature via VAGCOM, or will this still rely on the sensors information? I suspect that the sensor is faulty, but I don't want to be driving around with oil temp. as high as 150-165 degrees (at times) for too long, IF the oil is actually at ...
