**SOLD**B7 RS4 Sprint Blue, quilted leather & carbon buckets

Post by Teutonic Tuner » Sat Feb 16, 2013 8:44 pm

So following on from my 'what's it worth' thread http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=102235 I have decided to put my pristine B7 RS4 up for sale purely on the basis that it just isn’t getting used like it should be. Cars like these deserve to be driven regularly and it’s just a waste for it to be sat on the drive to only get its legs stretched for a few short trips over the weekend.

So heres' the details:

Sprint Blue saloon

Offers around £SOLD

Date of registration 16-02-2006 (cheaper road tax band, £260 per year)

Current mileage 39701

Full Audi service history, last service carried out just before Christmas.

Taxed until end of June

MOT until 21st June

The alloys were refurbed at Lepsons before I bought the car but the front left alloy has some kirbing now and there are a couple of minor marks on 2 of the other alloys. Tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sports with a good 5-6mm of tread all round.

Bodywork is in near perfect condition with the usual amount of stone chips and a couple of minor scratches to the front bumper but there are no dents/trolley marks to the bodywork etc.

There are no problems with the DRC suspension with no leaks. 2 dampers and a valve were replaced 27-03-2008 and pressures checked at Camberley Audi 26-02-2011 and pressure were bang in the middle of the acceptable range.

I always like to do something a little different with my cars and I decided to add a genuine Audi DTM carbon front splitter, fit a JHM short shifter from the US and took the plunge to have the front seats re-trimmed with new matching Valcona Leather Black Metallic (sourced from Germany) with quilted details and at the same time I skinned the backs of the buckets and the seat-belt loops with genuine 2x2 twill 650grams/sqm carbon fibre (matches the OEM carbon interior inlays) finished at my local bodyshop with a clear UV lacquer to give a perfect finish. It should be noted that the carbon on the back of the passenger seat is absolutely perfect but the carbon on the back of the driver’s seat isn’t as perfect as I would have liked. The reason for this is that I tried a different resin which ended up having the clarity of the other seat and is very slightly cloudy in patches, I am being a little picky here and most people wouldn’t notice this but being a bit of a perfectionist I thought I should point this out. It doesn’t show up in photos as glossy carbon fibre is very difficult to photograph. This doesn’t detract from what is a very cool interior mod and I have had lots of people comment on how good the carbon looks.

Interior is in near perfect condition. The seats pre-retrim were excellent and only showed minor wear to the driver’s seat bolster.

Apart from the carbon splitter, interior mods, JHM Short shifter (which is well worth fitting), the car is absolutely standard. I have disconnected the exhaust valves so they are open all the time which gives a much better sound all of the time instead of just when at higher rpms when the sport button is pressed. This can be returned to standard if required.

Where did you get that OEM DTM Splitter mate - I've seen a couple on ebay?? - but would like to source a decent one - I do like the way it sets the front of the car off....

There is a used one on eBay, but don't bother bidding as I saw it first and have dibs to bid against the general public.

Sold to forum member Nainoo. Hope you enjoy the drive home mate, it was nice (but complicated!!) doing business with ya.

Hope you don't pimp it up too much, it's perfect the way it is!

Enjoy

Cheers for your Patience on Saturday!!

I did enjoy my drive down :nogarors4: ... don't worry decided to keep it as it is like you said "it's perfect the way it is!"

Good luck with the next purchase, I would like to see what kind of small mods you put on it like the RS4.
