Black B7 RS4 avant with odd plates

Spotted near Old St, London (same road as Jamie Oliver's Fifteen.

Question: How is it possible to put these plates on a UK car? I was pretty sure it wasn't an import, they looked like show plates.

Ahhh, I just asked about the office as we've just had a couple of project managers come back from Guernsey and they said the same thing. Apparently it's just a sequential number so they started playing a 'spot the lowest number' game. The record was '7'... it was on a Beemer :(

Looks cool on a black car, that's for sure.
