Pick her up tomorrow

Post by brn7y » Fri May 18, 2012 3:01 pm

All,

Picking up my RS4 tomorrow.

As some of you may know I was hunting for a 2007 Avant in Daytona, well I have ended up with a truly mint 2006 Saloon in Daytona. With all the desirable options.

Went to see her and the condition and history was superb. New tyres just fitted and 3k worth of service and discs done by Audi in February.

One drive and I was sold with enough change in my pocket from the budget that the better half got treated to a 2010 A3 2.0tdi Black Edition to replace her Swift Sport.

Will post some pics when I get some.

Also been shopping so have all the white bulbs to install to match the xenons, DRL,s fogs etc. I did this on my A5 and it looked great.

Just need to know how you are best to install he fogs, A5 was easy you just removed 2 screws from the wheel arch. Anyone found a good picture guide.

Thanks for all the advise I found on here.

Fogs are easy - just carefully pull the grille off from the front (no screws, just clips) and then you can get to the 2 screws / bolts holding the fog light unit in place - it's honestly really obvious once you've popped the grille off. From memory the fog unit is a tight fit in the bit it fits to so needs a few minutes of patience to ease it out, but overall very easy

Sounds like you had a healthy "budget" when you went RS4 hunting! - enjoy!

Small hands required for DRL on driver's side though.

Agreed (I have scars to prove it) - 8 inch long fingers with 4 knuckle joints would do the trick as well.

Okay, finally a pic. This was when I collected her yesterday, beautiful day but typical Scotland, it was still freezing!
