Is it possible to fit an armrest to cars which did not have this option from the factory??

Yes it is. I think it slots in where the rear ash tray sits. IF you do a search on ebay there are a few Audi dealers that have them... here we go...

Would a main dealer be able to retrofit the armrest for me, or do they tend to shy away from such jobs were cutting and diy come into it??

Anyone know where I could get instructions for fitting the armrest. Tried a search though it didn't throw up much of any use.

If they don't fancy doing it they probably have a good relationship with an external retro fit company. That way if a used car sale is dependent on a missing option they can still close the deal

Main dealer would do it - it's a standard job not a hack.
