DRC woes - Thank you Audi

Post by dogiatrix » Mon Feb 13, 2012 10:43 pm

Being more of a lurker (please forgive me) than a regular poster, I thought I'd post today in PRAISE of Audi UK.

Please see the link below for the back-ground to this.
http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=94585

My '05 RS6 saloon had the rear shocks replaced by Audi under extended warranty last year.
Warranty expired recently and after a lot of "research" decided against renewing it with Audi.
So, as a front shock duly gave up over the w/end, it was off to the local Audi garage this pm.

Result.
Audi UK have very kindly agreed to "cough up" for the majority of the costs (as a goodwill gesture) - thanks Stephanie at Audi UK Customer Services who dealt directly with the Master Tech.
I have been asked to agree to a small contribution - to which I readily agreed and whilst there, asked them to replace the other front shock too, so all 4 will have the 24 month warranty from when fitted.

Excellent personal service too, from Craig the Master Tech at Portsmouth Audi.
Credit where its due and all that.

Thanks also to all the valuable advice on this forum.

I am glad for you that Audi came to the party on the DRC repair. Restores one faith in humanity.

I would suggest that next time you have to repair the DRC, you advise Audi that you will do them a favour and instead of repairing the DRC again, they can save Audi money by installing at their cost a set of PSS9's.
