SO get home today and the wife says this light has come on. Checked the oil and it was a bit low so topped it up with a litre to get it up to the cross hatch bit and the light still comes up "min".
The oil sensor light hasn't come on - is this a different warning?
I am guessing that if the "min" warning stays on that the sensor that triggers this is faulty. Any ideas how to replace/check/where it is etc?
Thanks
Kwack

Re: Oil min warning light
Not to be overly dramatic but I would get it to a specialist for diagnosis
Hopefully its a duff oil sensor but just incase its the oil pump therefore oil starvation

Have you filled it up to the max level? Or the min level? If yo've just put enough in for it to get to the min level then maybe it's normal that the level warning light is on..

Is it the red oil light or the yellow one?
If it's red then it's oil pressure and you need to buy some new underpants.

Re: Oil min warning light
If it's yellow and it says "SENSOR" then your level sensor is kaput. Otherwise it's telling you your level is too low.
