I can't believe the amount of traffic police that I have seen on the road today, must have seen a dozen marked cars around and 3 unmarked. This included cars hiding down side roads, cars being pulled over by police cars, an officer with a hand held speed gun and all over the motorway. I have been around the preston and blackpool area, including M6 and M55.

Just wondering if it has been the same in other areas of the country? i know it is sunday, but this was ridiculous!

Nothing up this way but maybe some sore of "safety" campaign for your local force? (i.e. achieving quota targets / generating public funding for their 2011 Christmas night out!)

Got pulled over by an unmarked for some spirited driving last night! Spotted a rather suspicious insignia in a roadworks 40 zone and drove deliberately slowly. Got to the slip road of the motorway and he started turning off the other way and I put my foot down! He did an about turn the wrong way round the round about and came after me!

Got compliments on the car and as I had not technically committed any offence so was told to make my way home!
