Extended warranty for b7 rs4 cab

Post by 997c2scab » Fri Jan 14, 2011 8:01 pm

Guys,

I am looking to invest in an extended warranty for the rs4 and wanted to enquire if any of you guys have any recommendations and experiences as to if the do pay out when faults occur?

I cannot find it but I was sure I had read a post with people commenting on experiences of warranty wise & warranty direct etc?! And even a group price / cover level being agreed?

Thanks in advance

go comprehensive with audi, and pay the 100 excess policy.

its 1200 quid a year, and given it 1600 quid for no excess, you have 4 trips to the dealer before it makes sense to go no excess.

mines been in once, and had about 4 grands worth of work, so get the warranty !!

I'm not renewing mine with Audi - the want to much and the few "niggles" my car has had, were not covered by warranty (even though the should)....DRC recharge, tyre pressure sensors....

Think Audi have shot themselves in the foot with costs (increasing for warranty), although maybe they are clever is some cars are costing 4K for warranty work.

Will say though, would never have bought a RS4 without the initial warranty. Now getting to two years of owner ship and hopefully all little "warranty" woes will have been ironed out.

my manifold has just been replaced. 2k job.

1200 quid for 12 months cover on a sixty grand car is for nothing.

your paying for piece of mind.

Thing is, it isn't 1200 quid anymore. Is it not around 1650 now?

Yep, just read it again without theafter effects of last nights grog. 1600 without excess it is.

Without digging into you past posts - why the manifold change? Tumble valve thingies??

So can somebody just confirm that Mondial are now doing what they offer on BMW cars - warranty that you can choose the level of cover on and the level of excess that you wish to pay?

Is this only available if you are currently in warranty or can you bring any Audi car back into warranty, along as it has been serviced by Audi?

And finally, have they given the pay monthly/pay as you go option for Audi cars or is this just for BMW?
Mortgages, Insurance, Financial Matters.....need help....ask away

my Audi warranty expired 30th Nov ... 2 weeks into Dec, I renewed it via this method, chose the level of excess I wanted and the level of cover

Now, what I dont know is if my car was not previously under Audi warranty, could I have done this?

I did have a 30day no claim period as they only allow grace of 7 days
