audi alloys rip off
Hi all. Cursed my own car today told my mate the cars been spot on in the snow. Left work to go home lost control and hit he kerb. Damaged the wishbone took a chunck of the alloy out and took the tyre out at the same time. Looking for a new alloy, phoned glasgow audi they quoted £685.00.Thought that was very expensive, anyone know where i can get one cheaper any help will gratefull thanks

RE: audi alloys rip off
They are a ridiculous price. Had the tyre pressure monitor come on the other month and turned out to be a cracked alloy so had to buy a new one - I was stunned at the price
local tyre fitter expected it to be around £200. Didn't shop around as needed to get the car back on the road quickly but managed to get my local audi dealer to knock around 10% off so paid closer to £600. Still bloody expensive especially when sitting in the audi showroom and the alloys on show (on stands) were a max of £400 a wheel!!
Guess if you want the exclusivity of the RS then most things will be expensive!!

Ebay ? (although most will probably be RS4 "type" wheels... not the real McCoy)

at that price, you would be better ordering 4 from Germany and floging them on ebay as singles to recoup the cash

RE: audi alloys rip off
one went for £76 + postage on ebay recently. I would have paid more but wasn't able to get near a computer near the end of the auction. Just get the seller to confirm the part number before bidding on anything. One seller was advertising wheels as genuine RS4 alloys but they were actually the RS style alloys off the A6.
