RS4 Braded Brake Hoses??

Post by PTO » Wed Sep 08, 2010 6:19 pm

Hi RS246,

I wonder if I can draw on your knowledge base pool, so help is what I need.

I am upgrading my wife's B5 RS4 with new B7 calipers and discs at the front and B5 Clubsport drilled discs at the rear.

Can anyone advise me on braded hoses and the bleeding procedure.

I need to understand things like what type of hoses I need for this set up front and rear etc.

Thanks in advance.

Peter T.

PM Sonny,
I think he has braided on his B7.

Apologies if not.
Shane

Goodridge or HELL braided hoses are most commonly used. You would need B7 hoses for the front and B5 for the rears I guess unless you have the B7 set up on the rears as well? Only problem is that they usually come as front / rear kits unlkess you contact Goodridge directly and they will fabricate one offs so long you supply them OEM hoses as a template.

Bleeding proceedure you should really use a machine so take it to an Audi stealer or independent which plugs into the ABS controller as well but IIRC can be done manually. I had my Goodridge hoses fitted by Audi, they just don't warranty / guarantee the work.

Yep got mine from Good ridge and Audi fitted mine too. Strange as they are not listed on there web page. I ordered them from Brakesforyou.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
