54 plate RS6

Post by chunky79 » Mon Jul 05, 2010 6:57 am

Hi guy's.
Bit of a what's it worth question. Looked at this one yesterday - http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... gLetter=04

Needs a few little cosmetic touch up's ( arm rest lid, boot cover that pulls out, paint work touch up, floor matts) but also, full brake disc's and pads, service, new tyres all round and also on drc i think. Drove smoothly but first one i have driven so can't compare.
With all the work needed on it what do you think it's worth? £17k?

If it needs discs, pads, service , new tyres etc. You are talking up to £3.5k

This is quite highly priced, you could have mine for that and it need none of that work doing ;-)

I could then buy a C6 :-), only jouncing not for sale

Probably not a good buy..... I paid £18.5k for mine with 60k on the clock, they did the brakes and service and I negotiated money off for the tyres as they were worn but had a few k left on them

Got a silver s4 at the moment and the wife doesn't want another silver car. Red is first choice then Daytona.
The side bolster is a little worn but not too bad. Could have done with a really good clean inside and out might have made a better impression on me. Got a call form the seller today and he said i could drive it away as it is for £18k, still got all that work to pay for so it's a no no.

We want a newer car then what we have (53) and also less miles (77k). We are fussy people but think it's our right to be. Shame cause his car has all the mod's an rs6 needs plus it's had no expense spared.

that first one looks like someone spilt something on the passenger seat and didn't bother to clean it properly as well.

the fontain one looks very nice. i've always had a soft spot for daytona grey. shame its not got the black optics. price looks reasonable assuming the consumables are reasonably up to date. well worth a lookover at the general condition, i would say.
c5 RS6 plus in silver

Dunc

Nice looking car mate, RS6 avants look the dogs boll*cks in daytona.

I've had a couple of cars from Fontain in the past with no problems on any in house warranty work.

It seems a good price for 2004 low milage model, I would pay the full asking price only if i drove away with 12 months full warranty not the 3 months on offer..

Enjoy :thumb:
