Remote locking..

Hi chaps, on the wifes A4 (2001) the remote locking does not work, but works fine on key, I've changed the battery and tryed re-programming
as per instruction in hand book but still not working, is there anything else other than the remote being duff it could be?

Do you have a second key? Does that work remote?
