Part Number Please

Post by Maximo » Tue Feb 02, 2010 12:04 am

The knob on the menu button by the hand brake has broken off so need to replace it. Audi want somthing like £70 for the complete unit, so was going to see if there are any breakers that have the part. Does anyone know the part number, save me from taking it out and breaking it completely?

Can't give you the number, but I know that it it quite easy to remove the unit: It has the standard plastic clips which need to be pushed back with a small flat-bladed screwdriver and then the unit lifts up and out.

I have had a go at removing it today. Got the bottom blank section off fine along with the main cover, however the bit the word menu on just didn't want to move at all. The module looked solid, is it screwed in somewhere? I have managed to find a breaker that thinks they have one but wants the part number before sending it out to me.
