DRC dealers answer
DRC dealers answer
Popped into my local stealership and enquired about DRC and the problems caused on the RS6 and they replied "we have just finished work on an 02 RS6 and DRC was replaced, under new extended Audi warranty"
Same story for the RS4 too, is this UK wide or an annomily?

Would be interested to here the answer to this as mine is registered 11/02 and i just missed out on the year cut off but not on the mileage. I emailed Mr Starkey at the end of last year and he did call me back but i have not returned his call yet.....Maybe because i feel that i won't get anywhere by talking to him!!!

If the car's under warranty then its covered. If not and under 5 (or is it 6?) Years old then goodwill. If over then it's unlikely audi will make a contribution. Most have ditched the drc by thid point.
Re: RE: DRC dealers answer
No it's not. UK Goodwill, and USA recall. All the other countries get screwed.Golffather wrote:It's WORLDWIDE !!

How comes an 02 car qualified? IIRC wasn't it up to 6 six years and then also dependent an FASH as well?davs4 wrote:Popped into my local stealership and enquired about DRC and the problems caused on the RS6 and they replied "we have just finished work on an 02 RS6 and DRC was replaced, under new extended Audi warranty"

On the B7 RS4 it's 5 year warranty so extended on the DRC by 2 years.
What i can't recall is what happens when it's replaced? Mine was replaced twice so is the 5 years then topped up so it's 5 yrs from date of replacement?
