Help a friend.

Post by ecain63 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 8:26 am

A mate of mine can't get logged on here due to being in an area with no connection facility. He has a B7 S4 with a couple of suspension / tracking issues. Does anyone know the answers?

He says:

"I'm looking for the front tracking figures (Toe in MM or Minutes) as the tracking needs re-doing. Audi won't tell me because they are barsterds.

Also Audi have just changed the front shocks and it is running very very high at the front now, the left side in particular is very high.

Was wondering if this is normal and will settle down or they have just fobbed me off with standard A4 struts? So wanted to find somewhere to check the part number of the struts they have fitted.

Car is a B6 S4 Avant Manual (the best kind)."

If you can help that would be ace.

new struts shouldn`t make the car higher than before.
Any body shop that does four wheel alignment will have or can get data for any car. We do anyway. but we`re in Wales so not much help to you in Bournemouth. If you have no joy , then I can get the data from my machine or audi.
Will need reg or vin , so PM.

If there is not a problem the suspension will eventually settle down.

I would call APD on 01202 621761 and ask to speak to Paul - they are VAG specialists and look after my car and have done an excellent job for the past two years. They are based in Holton Heath. Hope this helps.
