Priyan,

I saw these and wasn't sure whether they are the same weave as for the RS4 given they are from an S4. I thought the RS4 had a special version but I'm not sure. I am in the same position as you but was quoted £1500 to change them at Audi, the majority being labour. I think the parts were about £700. To be honest the aluminium has grown on me and does lighten the cabin so I am a bit torn as to whether to bother changing.

Cheers.

Door trims swap in 1-2 minutes dash area is easy but takes an hour or so as i was very carefull,no more than 2 hours total i think you will find the carbon trim was more like £1k,s4 trim is slightly different weave according to a previous post on here,i went the other way and took carbon out and put brushed alloy in

cool, what did you do with the carbon trim???

hmm, maybe if its not quite the same as the RS4 might give this one a miss. I dont mind the aluminium, just prefer the carbon, its not worth £700 tho!

I was really wanting the carbon trim too, however after reading a few comments on the forum I feel the aluminium trim brightens the interior, matches the steering wheel and in my case as I have a cab it also sits well with the screen surround, I'm sitting tight :)

I was ready to pack my aluminium set off to the US for a carbon wrap but the match with the steering wheel and imho the slight OTT look of the carbon round the gear surround means I'm staying put too :)

Carbon OTT??
If it was stuck on vinyl crap (ala Halfords) then fair enough but its not.
Do agree the silver highlights interior well but dependant on car colour, the carbon is just as nice / if not classier. Most VAG rep mobiles come with silver inlays..
Each to their own I suppose..

Had aluminium on my previous S4...nice but I think the carbon in my RS4 is more 'special' and definately the one to go for!
Thought for the moment...

...if some mindless ASBO keys your car as happened to my previous S4 then stay positive...they may have had a moments glory in front of their mates but they only did it because they're jealous of you being able to drive it every day! Who drives wins!
