Dealer rip off

Post by Brooner » Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:04 pm

Wife got a oil change which the dealer laughingly call a service to day for a 2 ltr turbo A3 sportsback £304 for an oil and filter change new wiper blades and new brake fluid. oh and chared 64 pence fro screen wash when i topped up all teh fulids the night before so if there charging for that what esle are they charging u for and not rally doing it FECKERS!

So phoned a local specilist Volks Center and got a quote for £180 to 200 and that includes stripping cleaning and geraseing the brakes so will be using them from now on an will be taking my car ther too i'm sick fed up of Dealers in Aberdeen ripping off the customers and the service stinks too

Not bad!

Customer of mine paid for a 1st service on a Passat 2.0TDI.....oil filter, engine oil, and pollen filter.....wait for it.......£500.50!

And when we did the service later on, the pollen filter didn't even look like it had been replaced prior to that!

Another one got quoted £700 labour only to change glow plugs (6) on a A6 3.0TDI!

Daylight robbery, honestly!

I'm pretty sure Dundee Audi didn't charge anywhere near that when I had our S3 there for a 10k service, and brake fluid back in March.

Star Performance were going to be even cheaper, but it was more for convenience (and the free MOT) that the car went to Dundee Audi instead.

Had serious issues with Aberdeen Audi when i took my B5 S4 there about 6 years back. Used Volks Centre for 4 years after that without issue. Now use Highland Audi since I bought my RS4 who have have generally been good. Not so positive about recent visit though but will wait to see how they follow up.

Plenty more bad feedback from friends and colleagues about Aberdeen Audi. Also ChrisRS4 on here had poor experience.
