Bedding in a new clutch

Post by GregorFuk » Wed Jun 10, 2009 10:02 pm

Can anyone tell me if a new clutch requires to be bed in, should I take it easy for the first 100 or so miles? I ask because my RS4 has just had its second new clutch fitted after the first one began slipping under full boost with only 50 or so miles under its belt. Is it normal for a new clutch to slip untill it's bed in? I would have thought it should not slip at all but am happy to be wrong. Not had a chance to drive the car with new clutch #2 but would like to know what to do and what to expect so I can tell if I have a problem or not.

Cheers in advance.
