RS4 B7 sedan suspension problem / DRC

Post by genova » Sun Feb 01, 2009 2:34 pm

Hello guys, it is not the first time you probably hear about this issue. About 4 months ago I had a H&R springs set fitted on my car (looks perfect). Since then, leaking front shocks have been replaced, knocking noise still here on the rear side. By driving the car with closed DRC valves, noise remains. Suspect therefore rear shocks. Audi Swiss has very annoying procedures so that to achieve this result had to bring the car about 5 times. Now they are convinced noise is coming from the boot where the Bose systems lies ?!

Personally, I am convinced the rear shocks are dead and willing to bin all that stuff. Does anybody as experience with Bilstein PSS9 - B16 (fully adjustable) or K&W V3 ? I am interested in ridding and stiffness or such system. I don’t want to drive a piece of wood as I never go on track, I am just looking for a normally well working suspension.

Thanks for your advice.

Hi, thanks for your feedback APM. Does your car rides well, not too stiff ?
Cheers

I am also considering Bilstein PPS9 to replace the DRC, but I want to know if there will be a big compromise in ride comfort. Anyone?
