S4 avant on 18"s

Post by AlWyn » Tue Nov 04, 2008 6:54 pm

Looking for the best (without any piddling about arch rolling etc) rim et and tyre size to go for with slightly lowered suspension 8x18s or possibly 8.5x18s on an S4 avant? All replies and advice genuinely appreciated guys

Ive got the mtm reps on mine with 225/40 tyres. Only ever had it catch once but that was with a bit of serious cornering lol. And I drive it a lot. Done 5k miles in the last month! On H&R's but set sensibly as there are far too many speed bumps by me.

Yep knew they where MTMs bud its just getting the right`et`or`offset`im keen to check. Had a quick search and on 3 different places 35 seems to be the answer. So 8 or 8.5x18 et 35 with 225/40 tyres it looks like im after.

Mine are ET35 here too on OZ Superlegeras in 18", my previous (Nuvolari Reps) where the same too. No issues with rubbing on mine at all, sits lovely.

Anyone got a pic of BBS CH s on an avant? (a silver one would be good) not very likely i know (but worth an ask just in case) or ABT 5 spokes?

will 225 tyres fit on 8.5" rims? I have 235 on mine (8.5 x 18" ET35) Its not lowered yet, but I think it might catch when I get round to lowering it. If they will fit I might have to swap to 225.
