Help Help Help - Alloy wheel problem!!!
Help Help Help - Alloy wheel problem!!!
I have just been told that i have 2 buckled wheels and one very bad weld in another. Only had the car 10days so a little upset. Apparantly not safe to drive.
So my question is, can i use rep alloys like the below on this car? Not trying to be cheap but i don't want to have to fork out £450 per wheel!
Have a look...

Would've thought that having had the car 10 days that the dealer (if that's where you got her from) would rectify the problem for you at his cost.

Have you read grizz's p.m? Guess he has some wheels lying around, and yes you can use after market wheels. But they wont be as strong and your tire pressure sensors wont work.
To have a welded wheel i take it some one has hit a very big hole or a kerb at speed. Might want to get the car checked out underneath also along with 4 wheel alignment. Thats down to the fact that the person who decided to get the wheel welded must of been tight and a bodger!

Thanks for the reply. Car has been checked out and is all clear of any damage or paint. The only reason i know that the wheels are damaged is because i had her geo done yesterday (wow what a difference) Hopefully the garrage i got the car from will sort it.mattysupra wrote:ant1 wrote:Bump!

rs6 wheels
I have a set of OEM 19 inch wheels spare if you're interested. Only used for approx 5K miles and two have nearly new P Zero Rosso tyres (two have worn tyres) fitted with tps etc.
PM me for pics etc. if interested.

alternatively I have 5 of the 18" OEM 9 spoke variety that were standard fit in Europe and a no cost option, car rode much better on them - I replaced them for new ones (cost me £1400 for 4) and was going to get them refurbed as spares but the car got stolen. No tyres or centre caps
