Just found out that Arthur C Clarke has died - a true British genius (a genius in the proper sense of the word) - they don't make them like that any more.

RIP Arthur.

An extremely talented scientist who turned his knowledge and skills predominantly to science fiction writing.

He has left not only a major contribution to literature and science but also the legacy of his yet unpublished latest novel "The Last Theorem", no doubt to be another best seller.

Yep - <beep> ridiculous: some totally talentless, vacuous, Z-list "celebrity" like that repugnant fat scouse bitch Kerry Catona opens her legs, shags a cretinous dribbling acne-ridden pre-pubescent "boy-band pop star" and flops out yet another wretched little frozen-food gobbling crack-brat and it makes <beep> headline news - yet a genius, visionary, and major contibutor to science and technology like Arthur C Clarke dies, and he doesn't even get a <beep> mention. I am livid.

"Mum's gone to Iceland" indeed .... I wish she would go to <beep> Iceland, fall down a huge crevasse, break every bone in her bloated corpulent carcass and get eaten by <beep> massive fish finger .... that'd teach her! The <beep>.

I actually sit next to someone where I work who meet Arthur C Clarke on a number of occasions as his Dad was friendly with him.

They did have it all over the Telegraph when he dies plus an obit the following day. Great man, will be missed.

Very much so! Would've loved to meet the great man himself. I'm half hoping a TV channel will re-run some of his "Mysterious World" series - but I won't hold my breath.

Oh the do rights will probaly find that the program has a 'racist', 'sexist', 'fat talentlessist', 'homophobist' etc. term used. and not be able to show it again..... like Love Thy Neighbour... well not like that, but you know what I mean.

Unless they get that Very Fatona (widescreen T.V. has its use!) and a Camp co-host to present the program about A.C.C then they can ham it up and show some trivial crap and the ratings will rise etc.
