Faulty gearbox

Post by nickband » Mon Sep 24, 2007 3:09 pm

My RS6 is about to go into the workshop for the third time to cure a noisey gearbox. It clunks at low speed when engines is cold and make a sound I can only describe as like a circular saw cutting through timber. All the dealers I take to car to find no fault and take no action. Has anyone had similar problems- and can you insist on work being carried out?

If no action, take it to a different dealer to get a fresh perspective... or failing that an independant like MRC to di a health check. Good luck
