Thanks

I've just taken insurance with a small company that was recommended to me called Universal Insurance (they trade as sky insurance). Sounds a bit dodgy but I had 3 accidents last year (none my fault-side swipe by a bin lorry, deer and hit in a car park!!) and lost my 5 years no claims. I declared my remap, Milltek & springs and everyone quoted around £2.9k!! Sky came in at £1.8 fully comp so they got my vote  I'm 35 by the way with 3 points.

I am with Greenlight... due to my age(24) and level of mods. They were the only people who would insure me at a decent cost. Great as their insurance covers mods like for like and vehicle value is estimated including mods in the event of a write off. They also offer trackday cover.

OMG £1,800! 4 years of that and you get a 2000 S3! (not everyones cup of tea)

Anyway...

I'm 26, full protected NCB, standard S3 with either Egg or Tesco (can't remember which as I seem to do alternate years with them both) and its about £600.

Dont wish your life away Zerok66 ;)

Its a load of bull anyway! When you are 17, they pull your pants down for insurance and say wait till your 21. Then, when you are 21 they say wait till you are 25. Now i'm 26, they say I must be married and have a child  (not really!)

I was actually told by numerous companies they would look more favourably at reducing the premium if I were over 30! I said much the same in response to that as David above.
