Want to buy an RS4!b

Post by AsianM3ny » Sun Nov 12, 2006 9:51 pm

There is an RS4 4sale in my area and I just want to get some feed back from you RS4 fanatic's that probably know more than me. The car is a 2007 RS4 with 5000 miles and has some extra's. It comes with the euro steering wheel and K40 bluetooth radra and jammer, short shifter and tint. He wanted $64.000, is that a fair price? But I think I can chew him down to $62.000. Please any information would be helpful as i will be seeing the car tonight! TIA..

Didnt know 2007 cars were available, and haven't come across a short shift for them, euro wheel must be the flat bottom wheel, other than that what are looking for? As we are Uk based, have no idea of US values.....

Yes they are avialiable here in the states. I just wanted to get an idea on what kind of pricing the RS4 had on it when used. I went to see it last night and there were a few flaws on the car. The car was keyed from back to front on the passenger side and the car has been bottomed out. I sthe shifter surpose to be really loose or should it be a little tight? Thanks for the reply.

Repairing keyed paintwork will never make it perfect again, and a bottomed out car could have damage to exhaust, suspension, brake & fuel lines, and possible damage to the body shell.

The shifter should not be loose at all.

Sounds like a bit of a dog. I would walk away from it.

The scraps were in the front and they were minamal. The shifter was loose when you pushed it side to side! It was the "Strasmospere" short shifter. But I can always put the stock one back on. And as for the Keyed passenger side, i know if it is done right you will you will never know it was painted except for a paint meter! And that's if i were to sell it to a dealer. I'm going to look at the car again side by side next to the S4. To make my final desision. The S4 is spanking new loaded with the DTM package! So please more feed back. Thanks in advance! 2007 S4 $62.000 new. RS4 2007 5000 miles with euro steering wheel and tint, short shifter, K40 bluetooh radar and jammer.

Sounds like a bit of a dog. I would walk away from it.
